Saelig offers network analyzer, electronic loads

Saelig Company Inc. has recently announced that it is offering two products—the CleverScope CS328A-FRA frequency response analyzer and PEL-3000 Series electronic loads.

The CleverScope CS328A-FRA frequency response analyzer (network analyzer) consists of a PC-hosted oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer with a built-in 65-MHz isolated signal generator and PC-based application software. The data-acquisition unit is a two-channel 10-bit sampler operating at 100 MS/s on each channel. It can stream data transfer via USB 2.0 or 10/100-Mb/s Ethernet to a PC at up to 1.5 MS/s for up to 200 GS. Gain and offset are automatically set to correspond to the selected amplitude axis view. Analog triggering of the waveform in view may be adjusted with a resolution of 1% of the display height. The analog trigger may optionally be conditioned with a low pass, high pass or noise filter. Eight digital inputs are also available for sampling at 100 MSa/sec, with the threshold adjustable from 0 to 10 V in 10 mV increments.

When not in use as a network analyzer, the CleverScope-FRA is also a 100-MHz two-channel mixed-signal oscilloscope. Designed and made in New Zealand by Cleverscope, the CS328A-FRA and is available now from stock from Saelig.

Electronic Loads

The PEL-3000 Series single-channel programmable DC electronic loads offer high-speed slope and high power capacity to meet a variety of testing needs. With 0.01-mA current resolution and 16-A/µs current slew rate, power supply characteristic tests can be performed with accuracy, stability, speed, and over a wide power range.

PEL-3000 Series electronic loads operate from 1.5 V to 150 V and have seven operational modes: CV (constant voltage), CC (constant current), CR (constant resistance), CP (constant power), CC + CV, CR + CV, and CP + CV. In the CC and CR mode, this versatile test tool can simulate a variety of sequenced dynamic load characteristics, with specified load currents, up/down slopes, current levels, durations, and other parameters. In constant current mode the load units will sink the amount of current programmed; regardless of the voltage, the current will stay the same. In constant resistance mode, set as resistance conductance, the unit will maintain a constant resistive load by varying the current. In constant voltage mode, the unit will maintain a preset fixed voltage level. In constant power mode, the unit will maintain a constant power level by varying the current. Via sequence editing, arbitrary test output waveforms from the memory function can be set from the front panel without connecting with a computer.
