Manual Surge Coupling/Decoupling Network
The CDN 3083-S100M injects standard 1.2/50-µs combination wave surges up to 8-kV open-circuit and up to 4 kA, 8/20-µs surge short circuit into an EUT’s main power supply. It provides overload capacity on each 100-A phase during short periods. Special choke technology enables the CDN to meet all three IEC filter inductance classes, and an auto-adaptive back filter fulfills surge protection and voltage drop requirements. Coupling modes include surge differential, lines to ground, and common to ground with an ANSI coupling set. Decoupling conditions are per IEC 61000-4-5 and ANSI C62.45.
