The WaveGen™ 3x3 MIMO integrates three individual signal generators and a channel emulator into a device that supports channel bandwidths of 20 MHz and 40 MHz. It uses one WBW2300 WaveBlade to create combinations of 802.11 a/b/g/n frames that are automatically synchronized using WaveGen software. The signal generator does not require knowledge of DSP modulation software packages, construction and download of I/Q, or stringing together multiple devices with specialized synchronization hardware.

WaveGen integrates the process of subjecting the signal to real-world traffic conditions by simulating environments like hallways, office buildings, and the outdoors. This allows testers to vary channel emulation on a frame-by-frame basis. WaveGen offers direct waveform frame definition through a point-and-click GUI.
