The GEN2i is a compact data recorder equipped with four, eight, or 16 input channels. The amplifier capabilities range from isolated voltage inputs with 200-kS/s per channel and bridge and IEPE modules to inputs that support 100 MS/s. Measurement data can be written directly to disk at speeds up to 20 MB/s or temporarily stored in the input modules.

The Perception Standard software installed on the Windows 7-based recorder supports a dual operating concept. In mobile applications, the GEN2i can be controlled from the 17” touch screen via simple menus. For advanced applications, the interface can be set to Perception Complete and a mouse and keyboard connected. All Perception features then are available, and optional software modules can be installed and used.
